Indianlife Papadums are made to a traditional Indian recipe and are dried to preserve the flavors. Directions
Cooking: Prefer cooking method is to fry. Can also be microwaved. To Fry: Heat 1-1.5 inches of vegetable oil in a frying pan. (Test oil temperature, by placing a small piece of papadum in the pan. If it fries instantly, the oil is the right temperature.) Cook each papadum one at a time. Fry each for 2-3 seconds. It will expand quickly. Remove from pan with tongs and drain oil on paper towels. Do not leave hot oil unattended. To Microwave (1200 W): Lightly coat both sides of the papadum with vegetable oil, place the papadum in the microwave and cover with kitchen paper. Cooking on High for 45 seconds or until expanded. (The papadum may need turning to ensure even cooking). Do not exceed recommended cooking time. Serving Suggestions: Serve papadums immediately with a main entree, or as a snack. Once opened store the uncooked papadums in an air tight container in a cool dry environment.
