A Balducci's EXCLUSIVE wine!

Franco Bernabei's family has been in the wine business for over 130 years. Although many in the wine world like to call his wines "Bernabei wines," there is no one Bernabei.

Balducci's has the privilege of having Franco Bernabei make a wine, a Pinot Grigio, especially for us. Fresh, floral, apple-scented fruit and a soft-yet-full finish are the trademarks of this classic white. We love it so much, we've made it our "house wine."

A Little More About Pinot Grigio:
Pinot Grigio, a clone of the French Pinot Gris, is one of Italy's most popular varieties of wine grape. The color of these grapes can vary widely; the skins can be from greyish blue to brownish pink, sometimes they look black, sometimes white. For that reason, Pinot Gris is often called "the grape that can't make up its mind."

Pinot Grigio grows primarily in northern Italy, Germany, Eastern Europe, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and California (ours comes from Dell Venecia outside Verona). Overall, Pinot Grigio yields wines that are crisp, fruity, and dry.
