Balduccis Private Label Coffees
Perfect for all holiday entertaining
Last month, we enticed you with our Sumatran Mandheling, Costa Rica Tarrazu, and our Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. This month, we have two very different, yet equally alluring, blends to tell you about.
Balducci's Jamiaca Blue Mountain
The Blue Mountain region is in the Eastern part of the island, at a high elevation (especially for island coffee) of 5,000 feet. One of the most rare and expensive of coffees, Jamaican Blue Mountain is most famous not for its powerful flavors but for its delicate, balanced and complex nuances. It's simply gorgeous all around: intense aroma, unusual sweetness, substantial body.
Balducci's Yauco Selecto
Yauco Selecto coffee is grown at the highest points in the Southwestern mountains of Puerto Rico at elevations of over 3,000 feet. The nutrient rich clay based soils, called Alonso and Malaya Arcilloso, coupled with over 100 inches of annual rainfall nurture and give the coffee its truly unique personality and reputation. Yauco Selecto is a rich, mellow, full-bodied coffee with a unique creamy/buttery flavor, malty chocolate undertones and a distinctive floral aroma. As rare as it is delicious, Yauco Selecto coffee production is limited to approximately 3000 bags per year.
These blends are perfect for all holiday entertaining, from the most lavish of parties to the smallest of gatherings. Stop by our coffee department to see for yourself.
