With its flaky pastry covering on the outside and rich, fruity fillings on the inside, brie en croute is like the perfect pairing between our bakery and cheese department. And for this year, we have two different versions to choose from: Apple Pear Chardonnay and Cranberry Walnut.
Apple Pear Chardonnay consists of firm chunks of fruit (the same luscious combination found in one of our pies), steamed in white wine, then paired with creamy brie and baked into a buttery puff pastry until golden brown.
Cranberry Walnut is an ideal balance of flavors; the sweet tang of ripe cranberries, the earthy taste of the crunchy walnuts, both melding with the mild flavor of brie.
