Dear Candy Lover:

The holidays have ended, and we've had to bid a fond farewell to our decadent chocolate truffles, decorated cookies, and panettone. Does this mean the end of our sweet-tooth indulgences until the holidays roll around again? Absolutely not! As long as there are delectable confections out there, we'll have a reason-and a season-for candy.

As we head deeper into winter, we seek out those lush, comforting foods that keep just a little of the cold at bay, and I think our three featured items will do just that.
The first is an unabashed favorite of both customers and our staff-Funky Chunky Popcorn and Pretzels. Smooth, sweet, crunchy, and rich, this is a great snack when you're curled up on the sofa watching your favorite movie. Read more about them in our first article.

Does the idea of toasting marshmallows over a roaring fire appeal to you? If you're like most people, then it does and you'll have to try Plush Puff. These are no ordinary, single-flavored marshmallows. These are artisan-quality marshmallows, infused with the luscious flavors of chocolate, caramel, coconut, and more. Whet your appetite for these creamy, dreamy treats by reading our second article.

Charles Chocolate Bars round out our list of finely made, finely flavored candies for the month. These bars are made by hand in small batches using the very freshest of ingredients. For this dedication to genuine chocolate-making, Charles Chocolates is the focus of our third article.

Chase the winter blues away with our selection of candies, and don't forget to visit us again next month for our top picks for the most romantic day of the year, Valentine's.

All the best,

Al Romero
