About Lake Champlain
Lake Champlain chocolates actually began over twenty years ago with the Ice House Restaurant, located on the Lake Champlain waterfront. The owner at the time, Jim Lampman, was told by his pastry chef that the chocolates he gave to his employees as gifts were terrible. Jim challenged his chef to do better, and he did indeed. The chef's truffles were so good, Jim started serving them to his guests.
Lake Champlain chocolates was soon created to meet his customer's requests, and ultimately the business became so large that Jim sold the restaurant. Lake Champlain continues to make their chocolates with the same standards and in the same tradition as when they were first begun.
