A momentous occasion for chocolate
Neuhaus unites some of the world's most talented and celebrated chefs in creating "the Rain of Stars," nine distinctly superb truffles celebrating Neuhaus' 150 years of excellence in chocolate.
Meet the truffles and their makers, all chefs given star ratings by the Michelin guide:
- Raymond Blanc (England) -- This truffle has a two layers of dark chocolate decorated with a lemon caramel and topped with a fine, light ganache flavored with bergamot (a small, aromatic orange).
- Pierre Wynants (Brussels) -- An unusual praline with a dual layer: a dark chocolate mold, and then a milk chocolate coating. Inside is a strong dark chocolate ganache tempered by the tanginess of Schaerbeek cherries.
- Marc Veyrat (France) -- A dark, crunchy coating envelopes a white chocolate ganache intensely flavored with a liqueur made of genepi (a rare, aromatic, Alpine plant).
- Peter Gossens (Belgium) -- A harmonious balance of milk chocolate and gingerbread flavored ganache, all spiced up with a hint of coffee.
- Pedro Subjana (Spain) -- An extraordinary combination of white chocolate and a ganache made of bananas flambéed with rum.
- Tatero Yoshino (Japan) -- A daring combination of grassy, woody green tea and robustly bitter dark chocolate.
- Jean-Claude Bourgueil (Germany) -- Creamy ganache with caramelized honey flavors enriched with a hint of salted butter.
- Daniel Boulud (New York) -- A suave, refined ganache, a wonderful cocktail of dark chocolate, cranberries and a drop of vodka, all refreshed with a splash of lime juice.
- Guy Savoy (Paris) -- A delicate ganache, with a balance between the fragrances of intense dark chocolate and the freshly picked walnut flavors.
This highly coveted collection is now on special at the unbelievable price of $34.99! Indulging in the Rain of Stars is no longer a whim -- it is destiny.
