The "Do-Goodie"
Greyston Bakery was founded in 1982 as a small storefront bakery in the Bronx. The original goal - to produce quality, locally made products that would give the group a sustainable, satisfying livelihood - soon inspired a socially responsible business extending opportunities to others in the community.
For years, Greyston Bakery has indulged metropolitan New York's most discerning tastes, supplying outstanding desserts to many of the city's top-rated restaurants.
In 1988, Greyston became the exclusive producer of brownies for the renowned Ben & Jerry's brand of ice creams.
Take a look at what you can indulge in:
· Greyston Chocolate Fudge Brownie-a simple, yet perfectly made, old-fashioned chocolate brownie.
· Greyston Walnut Fudge Brownie-a classic combination of crunchy walnuts and rich, fudgy chocolate.
· Greyston Espresso Bean Brownie-dark, yet subtle, the flavors of coffee and chocolate pair well together.
· Greyston Brown Sugar Blondie-blondes really do have more fun in this gooey dessert with walnuts and brown sugar.
They're great for putting out for company as individual desserts, or you can just keep a couple in your pantry for when your sweet tooth starts calling to you. As an added bonus, they're also individually wrapped, so they're perfect as take-along snacks or for lunch boxes.
