A Dessert As Elegant As the Ballerina It Was Named After

What dessert could possibly be good enough to make New Zealand and Australia fight over it? Pavlova, of course! Named after the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova, this dessert has been claimed by both countries as having originated there at about the same time in the early twentieth century.

Whoever may be right, there is one thing that can't be denied: Pavlova is simply delicious! That's why we had to feature it in our stores for the season. It's a meringue cake with a soft, marshmallow-like center, and a crispy crust on the outside. One bite, and it just melts in your mouth.

The traditional way to serve it is with whipped cream and slices of fresh fruit, so be sure to stop by our dairy and produce section for these fabulous (and necessary) garnishes to your pavlova.
